Created by two sisters who’d always had an entrepreneurial streak in them, Bug and Pickle is a line of wonderful mommy and baby personal care products filled with natural, soothing ingredients.  These Canadian gals Nicole and Kim also own and operate a successful Vancouver spa: Bloom Essentials, a testament to their expertise in the area of skin care, pampering, and keeping customers happy and loyal!  Wondering about the name?  Bug and Pickle were these sisters’ nicknames for each other as children!  Cute, huh?

I tried two of their products: the Belly Cream and the Baby Butter.  The first thing I noticed about both products were the soothing herbal scents.  As promised on the website, the Belly Cream is both lusciously smooth as it goes on as well as quick drying, so you don’t feel oily or sticky.  The lightweight yet still thoroughly moisturizing formula with shea butter is perfect for pregnant moms who always feel warm what with that tiny body emanating heat from within.  Good moisturizing is the key to preventing stretch marks, well, as much as you can depending on your genetic disposition to them, and Bug and Pickle Belly Cream is perfect for that.

The Baby Butter is more of a balm, a multi-use, super moisturizing balm.  For those whose children have eczema or deal with eczema themselves, it’s definitely worth a try!  The compact container fits easily into a purse or diaper bag, so you can moisturize on the go with this rich lavender scented, essential oil infused, soy and beeswax based baby butter.  It’s perfect for those little areas on littleQ’s skin where his eczema flares up, and even mrQ uses it for his hands.
