Seventh Generation for Potty Training Tots

November 17th, 2008

Hey there! If this is your first time here, please consider subscribing to the RSS feed or the MamaDivas.com newsletter

Seventh Generation

sgtrainingp Did you know that Seventh Generation offers training pants for toddlers?  Yep, Seventh Generation offers a line of super soft, hypo-allergenic, and chlorine free toilet training pants that are a healthier alternative to “regular” brands like Huggies and Pampers and rival them in both quality and cost.  Available in 2T-3T and 4T-5T, these training pants won’t irritate your child’s skin.  They are definitely secure enough to handle a deluge of pee from your anti-potty training toddler without causing a big wet catastrophe on your carpet.  Oh, the joys of potty training an uncooperative little boy.  You won’t get brightly colored cartoon characters on these babies, no, what you get are high-quality khaki-colored training pants that are comfortable, non-irritating and are chlorine free (making them an eco-friendly choice!).

sgwipes Mamas looking for a chlorine and alcohol-free alternative to conventional baby wipes should also check out Seventh Generation’s baby wipes.  The cleansing agent used is a natural, plant-based cleanser that’s safe for baby’s skin, and won’t irritate.  The wipes contain Aloe and Vitamin E to soften skin, but are fragrance free so your child’s skin is left clean and completely pure after using these wipes.  The box could use some redesign, because damn is it hard to pull out a wipe after you’ve gone through the first 20.  Aside from that, I’d say that these are the choice for concerned mamas who don’t want potentially harmful chemicals touching their child’s skin and moms of babies with extra-sensitive skin.

Mustela Musti Eau de Soin SprayI have to admit, the scent of the Seventh Generation wipes takes a little getting used to.  You might think that something fragrance free wouldn’t smell like anything, but that’s not the case.  Without a fragrance to mask the scent of the ingredients used, a wipe smells kind of, bleh.  If you can’t get past that non-smell scent, just spritz a bit of Mustela’s alcohol free and hypoallergenic Musti eau de soin spray, and you’ll be good to go.  That’s my favorite, by the way! We’ve been using Musti baby cologne since littleQ was just a few months old.

There are always alternatives to *conventional* brands, and Seventh Generation definitely makes it easy for concerned moms to make those decisions with their products inspired by the purity of nature.
