Medibag 4 Kidz First Aid Kit review + Medibuddy giveaway

Summer is almost in full swing, and in a just a few days the kiddos will be out of school for the entire summer, that is, if their summer vacation hasn’t started already.  Oh, and it’s the season that’s the reason adhesive bandages were invented, what with all the scraped knees, bruises and other booboos you’ll have to clean up, kiss and “make all better” over the next two months.  Yikes!

medibag 4 kidz Whether you’re going to be vacationing or stay-cationing this summer, it’s important to have a fully-stocked first aid kit on hand and easily accessible at all times.  The wonderful Mompreneur inventor at Me4Kidz provided me with my very own Medibag 4 Kidz First Aid KitI’ve already made good use of the wonderfully kid-friendly First Aid kit when littleQ scraped his knee on the sidewalk a few days ago.

The Medibag 4 Kidz is filled with essentials, such as sterile gloves and guaze, antiseptic wipes, a cold pack, a first aid guide and much, much more.  The entire pack has a totally kid-friendly twist, with its awesomely colorful crayon bandages that my son loves and fun stickers.  It’s all packed up in a bright red plastic medical bag that your child will love toting around.  (littleQ sure does.)

But don’t worry, due to its design, even if your child were to get a hold of it, the Medibag 4 Kidz isn’t easily opened by a child.  I’ve read that others have a hard time opening it, but to be honest, while I do acknowledge that it may not click open with the flip of a finger, I had no problem opening it.  I think it’s just a matter of getting used to locking mechanism, but hey, people also say the have issues opening up child-safe aspirin bottles and drawer locks.  The kit does not include any medications such as antihistamines or aspirin, so you won’t have to worry about your child ingesting any meds, either.

Ooh, and the Medibag 4 Kidz even comes with a coupon for a free refill pack of supplies, which I think is an AWESOME plus, definitely giving you more bang for your buck.

IMG000139 copy The Medibag is too bulky to easily tote around in your stroller, and so it’s more suited to being stored in the trunk of your car or in your home.  That’s where the Medibuddy comes in.  The Medibuddy is a tubular container that’s filled with first aid essentials.  It’s compact and completely portable, and about the length of a checkbook.  It tucks away neatly into your diaper bag, or, if you’re like me and absolutely HATE dragging around giant diaper bags, it’ll tuck neatly into your handbag, no problem.

Thanks to Me4Kidz, the creator of the Medibag 4 Kidz and the Medibuddy, one lucky winner will receive a Medibuddy first aid kit.  To enter, send me an email using the contact form with “Medibuddy Giveaway” in the subject line.

I just ordered this same First Aid kit, and I love it. I added a few items, like Burt’s Bees Bug Bite Stick, and my Neo-To-Go spray, and popped it into the minivan for our vacation.

I really like the design of the case. It is rather difficult to open, which I consider a plus. I do not have to worry about my inquisitive five year old opening all of the bandages to find out which colors they are.

I definitely think it’s a plus that the case isn’t SUPER easy to open! Otherwise, it’d be too easy for curious kids like yours and mine to get into it. Just the fact that it’s this bright fire truck red is enough to make any little kid want to mess around with it and open the kit up.
~thanks for commenting :)
