Featuring lovable characters like Dookie Duck and his adorable little sister Dottie, the Baby Prodigy line of educational DVDs is full of interactive fun, perfect for days spent indoors with your baby.
We recently received three DVDs to try out from the Baby Prodigy line– Baby’s First Words, Baby Pre-School and 30 Minutes to Quiet Baby. Each 30 minute video is packed full of funny moments from Dookie, fun musical numbers, and engaging content that really kept my kids engaged and interested. We especially enjoyed the Barber Shape Quartet scene!
Pros:
- The price is right! Baby Prodigy DVDs retail for just $12.99 each, which is $7 less than other educational DVDs for babies.
- I felt that the Baby Prodigy DVDs were fun for kids to watch and moved through segments smoothly so that viewers are never bored before being introduced to a new portion of the program.
- The DVDs are packed with content, so you feel like you’re really getting your money’s worth, but they’re not too long for those tiny little attention spans.
Cons: I don’t feel that there are any cons with the Baby Prodigy DVD line, but I just want to remind parents that no educational video program is a substitute for interacting with your child.
Bottom Line: For parents looking to supplement their baby’s intellectual development with brain stimulating educational video content, Baby Prodigy is definitely a video series that is sure to please. As I mentioned, the individual DVDs are more affordable than other brands on the market right now, but just because you’re saving money doesn’t mean you’re skimping on quality. To be honest, based on my children’s attentiveness and reactions, I felt that the content contained in the Baby Prodigy DVDs was much more interesting to my kids than the more expensive (and IMO more boring) Baby Einstein line.

As a first time single mom i would love to try these on my baby…
I have a home daycare and I think this would be great for learning on days we are stuck inside due to weather.
My daughter loves these dvds and the one we had wont play anymore so she needs a replacement!
