My name is Kristina, and I live with my hubby, mrQ and our two boys: our precocious preschooler littleQ, and our chubby-cheeked infant, babyQ. on Long Island in the beautiful and exciting Empire State, New York.
I was born in the Philippines, but was raised on Long Island from the age of 2, so I’m a New York girl through and through! I must bashfully admit that though I consider myself bilingual, my command of Tagalog (the national language of the Philippines) is rather laughable. I’m an only child, and the hubby thinks that may be why I’m impatient, spoiled and all for instant gratification. Oh silly vices. But I’m not impatient.. I don’t think so at least.
We started our family early by many standards, and while life has thrown us plenty of curveballs, I wouldn’t change a thing. Sometimes you have to make tough choices, eh? Happily enough, the hubby is fully set and established in his chosen career path, so he is actually carrying out his childhood dream. Unfortunately, I can’t get any less ambiguous than that, as he doesn’t really like it when I blog about him ssh!
As for myself, I was stay at home mom for almost 2 years, then in January of 2008 I reentered the workforce and began working full time as a technical support rep at a telecommunications giant, though now I work part time. We had baby #2, aka babyQ in April of 2009.
I started this blog because I love discovering new and freshly innovative products and services, and I enjoy letting others know about all the wonderful products and books that I’ve come across in this journey known as motherhood. I love everything that helps us as mommies keep motherhood as easy and simple as possible but still fun and chic! I’ll also share stories of my own experiences as a mom, from the good, to the bad, to the “oh crap I almost had a friggin’ heart attack.” Hey, as parents we’ve all got a little something to learn from our kids and from each other.
