On this day, whilst we all imbibe in alcoholic or virgin mixed drinks, chow down on burnt yet juicy BBQ, gaze in thrall at ear piercing fireworks and spend quality time making memories with our families, let’s keep in our hearts the pride we have in our country and the servicemen who have fought to preserve our freedoms and rights throughout the years, as they have since this young country was born just 234 years ago.
